District Monthly Sewer Service & Use Charge
The monthly Sewer Service and Use Charge rate is used for the acquisition, construction, reconstruction, maintenance, and operation of the District's piping system that is used to transport your wastewater to the San José-Santa Clara Regional Wastewater Facility. The annualized monthly Sewer Service and Use Charges are collected on your property tax bill under code "0890, Sanitary Sewer Service." The Sewer Service and Use Charge is based on the type of building(s) on your property as shown below.

District Hillside Zone Rate
A Hillside Zone rate is charged for properties in the District hillside zone area to fund sewer repairs within hillsides susceptible to land subsidence or erosion that put sewers at a higher risk of failure. The $100 per year rate is collected on the property tax bill under code "1004, Hillside Zone Sewer Rate."
